Who we are
We process bay leaves as nature made them
Çatallar Defne is a producer and exporter processing bay leaves and aromatic plants at its drying facility in Kadirli, Osmaniye, in the Eastern Mediterranean region of Türkiye.
We dry bay leaves naturally, pass them through machine sieving and hand selection, and then pack them. Nothing is added to our product. At the same facility we dry and pack thyme and lavender, and produce essential oils from all three plants.

Our registered company name is Çatallar Defne Kurutma Tesisi İthalat İhracat Sanayi ve Ticaret Limited Şirketi. We are a food business registered with the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of the Republic of Türkiye under registration number TR-80-K-011160.
At our facility the drying and packing of aromatic plants and the production and sale of essential oils are carried out under the ISO 22000:2018 Food Safety Management System and HACCP / TS 13001 certificates.
How we work
Bay leaves are processed at a single facility from intake to dispatch: drying, sieving, sorting and packing are each part of our food safety system. Our packaging carries batch number, harvest year and production date fields.
We assess quotation requests by product, quantity and delivery point, and agree packaging and delivery terms with each buyer.
